Centreville, VA - Today, Delegate Karrie Delaney announced her endorsement of Senator Stella Pekarsky for Virginia’s 11th Congressional District. Delegate Delaney represents Virginians in the 9th House of Delegates District.
Delegate Delaney represents a significant portion of voters in the 11th congressional district. Prior to flipping her House district from red to blue in 2017, Delegate Delaney has been a longtime advocate for our most vulnerable communities here in Virginia. After working at a group foster home, she then volunteered as a sexual assault counselor and became Board President of her county’s sexual assault crisis organization. In the General Assembly she has been a tireless champion of sexual assault prevention and reform, and carrying one of the most important pieces of legislation to lower the cost of healthcare by establishing a Prescription Drug Affordaiblity Board.
“Stella and I have worked tirelessly since her election for the people of Centreville and Chantilly to deliver results for our constituents. During our time in the General Assembly, she has always put our community first and we’ve worked alongside each other to deliver real change”
Delaney continued: “Stella has been a fierce champion for our children and their education. I’m proud to raise my children in our community with fighters like her. We need a federal delegation that reflects the voices of Virginian women. . I know with her background and experience, she is the right candidate to continue our fight against Trump in Washington DC.”
During her time on the School Board and in Richmond, Stella has stood up against hatred and delivered life changing results for us. I know that Stella is the right person to take on Trump and the far right MAGA extremists in DC, because she’s always done it here. I hope you join me in proudly voting to send a proven leader to Congress.
