Centreville, VA - Today, Senator Jennifer Carroll Foy proudly endorsed Senator Stella Pekarsky for Virginia’s 11th Congressional District. Senator Carroll Foy represents Virginians in the 33rd State Senate District.

Senator Carroll Foy represents a significant portion of voters in the 11th congressional district. As one of the first female graduates from VMI, Carroll Foy has continued to lead in pivotal roles and elevate women alongside her. She has put her community first and became a public defender to help give a voice to the voiceless — children, people suffering from addiction, those experiencing houselessness, those with mental illness, and the poor. Since representing her community in the General Assembly she has advanced a pro-woman, pro-labor, and pro-environment agenda, and led the charge to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment in Virginia as the bill’s chief sponsor.

“Stella has been a close ally and I am excited to announce my full endorsement of Stella in her campaign for Virginia’s 11th Congressional District. Since Stella and I were elected to the Senate, we voted to protect abortion rights, lower drug prices, and deliver record funding to our schools.”

Carroll Foy continued: “Stella began her career as a public school teacher. She is a mom of six and a former small business owner. She knows firsthand the issues that our community is struggling with and she is ready to fight in order to solve those problems. She is not a career politician - and has always kept her community in mind ever since she stepped up to serve as Chair of the Fairfax County School Board.”
